Our baker grew up in the South, spending summer vacations with her grandmother on the farm milking cows, making butter, and sampling recipes passed down through generations. The tea cake recipe was her favorite! She baked tea cakes with her “Granny Aaron” every chance she got, which sparked her passion for baking.
She went on to experiment with pound cake recipes and eventually perfected layer cakes. She baked for family, friends, and co-workers, and her cakes were often described as the “best in town.” After a few life events and several years into retirement, she continues to spread love with every slice of cake, and they remain the “best in town!”
